Supporting and educating patients and families on the intestinal failure,
intestinal rehabilitation and intestinal and multivisceral transplantation journey.
Sun Safety
Some transplant medications can cause sensitivity to sunlight. Transplant recipients need to wear sunscreen and protective clothing/hat/eyewear when outdoors. Limit outdoor activities from 10am to 4pm, during the hours of greatest sun exposure. Regular dermatology screening visits once per year or as recommended by your transplant team is critical to making sure your skin is healthy and cancer-free.
